Strengths / Features:
- The BindMate is one of the only binding systems that are designed to mix both 19 drill holes for plastic comb binding and three holes for use in presentation folders. And with a low price point seventy-five U.S. dollars, this machine offers great value for small and medium organizations. You can drill a hole pattern of 19 letter-sized sheets, both large and decks and a three-hole model eleven inch sheets.
- This machine is very easy to use. In fact, everything you need to do to switch between the three drill holes and 19 drill holes comb is a small flip switch is in the front of the machine.
- The BindMate has a carrying handle located on the front right side of the machine. This makes it easy to transport and transportation of the machine when not in use. It also offers a medium-strength plastic comb opener located on the top of the machine.
Weaknesses / Limitations:
- Although this machine offers the ability to punch documents with two different perforation patterns, not have a drilling capacity of large size. The drill is rated BindMate 6-8 sheets of 20 lb paper at a time. For a low cost machine that is in line with its competition. However, documents drilling thick or thicker documents, this machine can be time consuming.
- The plastic comb opener BindMate included in the light work is designed for binding documents as small as 5 / 8 "thick (about of 125 sheets of 20 pounds of paper.) Organizations that need to bind thicker documents will have to study a larger comb binding machine with a heavier duty plastic comb opener.
- This machine is designed to handle documents with a lead-inch drill eleven. The users who need to bind documents that are about eleven inches long will have to choose a binding machine with disengageable punching pins.
Recommendation:
- The Bindmate GBC is a good choice for a small office or home office that need to bind documents with plastic combs and also uses 3-ring binders to store your documents.
- This machine offers excellent support and price to be a good value for low volume users.
- However, this machine is not a good choice for high volume users or for businesses that need to bind large documents. The capacity of small and limited drilling in plastic comb opener make this machine useful for perforation of the documents with more than 100 sheets.
